After pounding around as an artist, filmmaker and writer for 15 years, not a whole lot happened. Then I got lucky on a few fronts: I started Chicago Art Magazine, and that's going well, and I have two books under contract, and a novel being considered by a publisher.

So this site, which I'm trying to whip together in an hour, just tries to wrap it all together if you're curious about my work.

The visual art aspect is confusing because I tried my hand at home decor sculptures, conceptual art / hoax art, and "textwork", which is text presented visually. I helped organize a couple shows, and that section is incomplete.

All the sections blur together, as a rule.

But it's something. I needed to have something up, as my first book is coming out September 23, 2010 and it's called The Lovers, the Death, and the Crimes - it's an artist book that incorporates the one line poems and is the shards of a memoir. StepSister Press is the publisher.
