The most bizarre thing about this conceptual card deck is that people actually want a set when I tell them about it. I have learned that in the heart of all of us in the arts, is a feeling that we don’t know enough, we haven’t studied enough, and we're at risk of being exposed as a fraud. First, be assured that no deck of cards can alleviate that feeling, everyone everywhere feels that way. All the time. So get comfortable with that insecurity.
Even worse, more and more I actually do see “Top Artists” lists,
like this one.

I mean, if you really want the Art Cheater Cards, just go to Artists in 60 Seconds, http://arthistory.about.com/library/artists/blnames_main.htm , and make a deck.
But better, follow your gut, follow your heart. Enjoy works that strike you. In a hard world in which we must often work, and give, and work some more, art is supposed to be an entity that restores your soul. It’s not supposed to be another force that takes, it’s a force that gives back.
We at Diamond Life Café wish you the best of luck as you embark on your life in the visual arts. We hope you find that true art appreciation is much more about self-knowledge that anything in an art history book. But if you can’t subscribe to that, then please remember our final suggestion, our motto here at the Diamond Life Café: if you must lie, be brief.
